Clever and Creative Elevator Advertising

Some of the coolest uses of elevators in advertising campaigns.

Folliderm

Folliderm, a crand that prevents hair loss, used elevators in corporate offices and residential buildings to promote their company. A face of an man was stuck on the elevator door; such that his hair was stuck on one door and the rest of his face on the other. When the door opened, the hair pulled away. Another print was stuck in the inside of the elevator – where the man was shown bald. The line read: “Scared of losing your hair? Ask your doctor about Power 1+4″.

Fiat Punto

The message is clear: “Dude, go work out here and you too will be able to rip open elevator doors.” Not to mention the eye-catching body that every guy can die for of the gym superstar.

Brastemp Stainless placed outlines of the shape of their products, on shopping center elevators.

Snuff Clothing Bloody Cleaver Poster

What do bloody cleavers have to do with skiing? That’s anybody’s guess – apparently Snuff, a clothing brand for ‘hard core’ skiers, was just trying to get people’s attention. The campaign was based around the idea that “death is only a matter of time”.

Witness Against Torture Elevator Ad

An otherwise blank set of elevator doors features two sets of fingers peeking out from the seam, as if someone inside is trying to escape. Once you’re inside the elevator you see the owner of those fingers: a man in a prison jumpsuit and leg-cuffs. Witness Against Torture, a human rights group, used this ad to campaign for the closure of the Guantanamo Bay detention center.

Sport Batel Gym

In order to increase the attendance of the morning and evening class, Sport Batel Gym placed stickers in elevators which makes the floor panel work like the weight scale, with the floor numbers, now converted into kilograms, going up and down. “Control your weight. Get in shape at Sport Batel Gym”, the sticker says.

Divorce Lawyer

A typical wedding photo was affixed to lift doors in a law firm and every time the doors opened, the couple separated. But help was at hand for everyone in the same position as soon as they stepped into the lift: a sign showed the name of the law firm and which floor the office was on.

Great Lakes Science Center Bodyworlds

Another great elevator ad to get people more attracted to science. The doors, painted as a human chest, opened to reveal a human’s whole anatomy just like what the doctor does in an operating room.

Pest Control: FRIDGE

The ad strikes us with the idea of your beloved fridge being invaded by nasty insects. “You might not see them, but we do.” Call us to get rid of them!
