Wood Prints by Bryan Nash Gill

US artist Bryan Nash Gill trace every aspect a tree’s life up until it was cut, creating these fantastic woodcut prints by applying a thin coat of ink, followed by washi paper and hand compression.

"The logs that I cut and split and used for heating my house and studio, or for building a fence, were also perfect for printing. They were beautiful in their own right."

"In this print, the even spacing of annual rings is indicative of a consistent growth environment."
