Anamorphic Rotating Glass Sculpture by Thomas Medicus

Artist Thomas Medicus created a rotating glass sculpture that contains four hidden anamorphic paintings, entitled 'Emulsifier'.



The piece is built from 160 glass strips that are hand-painted on four sides with different images that will only appear when viewed from the right angle.

Intimate Relativity by Shigeno Ichimura

New York-based artist Shigeno Ichimura creates these tight patterns of raised dots and silver industrial paint, painted one-by-one by hand.



"My works begin with one small dot, squeezed out by hand onto canvas. One small dot evokes many others, finally forming a group, a gathering that seems to have purpose. Each small dot works together with the rest, calling out to the others, reaffirming both its isolation and its place in the group. For me, it all begins with a single dot."

Beautiful Metal Fire Pits by Melissa Crisp

Artist Melissa Crisp created this unique fire pit designs that are works of art.



This beautiful fire pit called 'Up North' made of American-made steel, features a rust patina finish and has a rain drain at the bottom.



The scene was inspired by the north woods of Minnesota where the artist's mother grew up, with tamarac trees, moose, buck, doe, fawn, and ducks flying in formation. The craggy tree branch legs are the base.



Round-Up features a ranch with four scenes. A cowboy on a horse roping a calf. Another scene shows a little boy standing on a fence watching with Grandpa by his side. There are also cattle and a bull in two separate scenes.



This Australian themed fire pit and features kangaroos, kookaburra birds, a crocodile and a small koala bear. The globe shaped sphere sits above a craggy tree branch base.



The "Freedom Fire" custom steel fire pit has a patriotic theme with the american bald eagle emblem with his right talon the eagle holds an olive branch, in his left a bundle of thirteen arrows.

Artist Phil Hansen (previously here and here) produced this amazing portrait of Serbian inventor and electrical engineering genius Nikola Tesla using electric sparks created when two wires were short-circuited.

New Glass Sculptures by Ben Young

Sydney-based artist Ben Young (previously here) recently unveiled a new collection of hand-cut layered glass sculptures displayed at the Sculpture Objects Functional Art + Design (SOFA) Fair in Chicago.



"I guess the fact that I don’t have those skills is a large part of it. In this age of technology it feels like creating something by hand is a dying art; people don’t get their hands on things anymore. That’s the whole reason I became a boatbuilder; I just like being directly involved in the creative process."

Solar Pyrography Drawings by Jordan Mang-osan

Philippines-based artist Jordan Mang-osan creates these beautiful pyrography drawings using sunlight and a magnifying glass.



Mang-osan is an ethnic Igorot from Cordilleras region, that still reside in the Luzon mountains. Originally an agrarian society, many of the Igorot members still live an old fashioned life style consisting of agriculture farming and rice cultivation. Mang-osan holds true to his roots by working with raw indigenous materials.



After sketching a design, Mang-osan utilizes the power of the sun through a magnifying glass to concentrate solar heat onto wooden boards.

Steel Sculptures by Byeong Doo Moon

South Korean sculptor Byeong Doo Moon created these stainless steel sculpture as part of Sculpture by the Sea 2014 in Sydney that runs through November 9th.
