He laser cut the designs. When closed, the small booklet appears like an ordinary palm-sized book, but when you open it and flip the pages around, every direction reveals new details within the tiny carvings, creating an entirely 3-dimensional world.

The pages, bound together with glue. Ring-shaped spacers ensure that the pages open at the right angle so that the tiny little scene can be viewed.
