Amazing Gingerbread House

These are truly elaborate gingerbread houses. It’s incredible how much money and time a person will put into building a gingerbread house.

This is a replica of one of the most famous tourist attractions in San Jose, California. Winchester Mystery House. The confectionery version took over 400 hours to construct, 84 cups of gingerbread, 34 cups of icing and 31 bags of candy for the lawn.

Rebecca Russell specializes in gingerbread creations and cake toppers. She used different shades of gingerbread for this "Bear House", using different amounts of spices and molasses. The bears were made from gum paste and royal icing along with paw prints made from leftover gingerbread dough. Lovely!!!
