Scrap Metal Mercedes 300 SLR Replicas by Giants of Steel
Armin Ciesielski, Peter Brakel and Walter Willer working at German company Giganten aus Stahl (Giants of Steel) recreate this full-scale replica of Mercedes-Benz 300SL "Gullwing" out of 10,000 scrap metal pieces, and can’t be driven.
"The Uhlenhaut is a really special Mercedes and we wanted to make a replica."
"It took me and my friends seven months of hard work to perfect and we used more than 10,000 pieces of metal."
"The car was a very difficult model to make because of all the intricate details and we made the engine look identical to the original. It weighs nearly 1,000kg."
In addition to the Gullwing, there are other replicas such as a classic Porsche Spyder and pre-war Auto Union grand prix racer.

Metallic Junk Sculptures by Ono Gaf
Indonesian artist Sumarsono, better known as Ono Gaf, create this sculptures made of metallic junk.
“I believe in art and I believe in myself,” he said when pushed. “The life of an artist is up and down. I’ve never sought profit. Sometimes I give works away because I know I get blessings in return.
“Looking back I feel satisfied with what I’ve done, but I’m still learning. As an artist I should be honest and holy, not arrogant. To be creative is to be spiritual, to work hard and concentrate on God.”

Scrap Metal Sculptures by Robert Jefferson Travis Pond
Portland based artist Robert Jefferson Travis Pond of Steel Pond Studios uses old parts from motorcycles and other peices of scrap metal and welds them into these amazing sculptures.
"This seemingly random assortment of metal dictates its future in a very fast and spontaneous manner. Although I control the welds, the individual objects refuse to be forced into form. The sculpture decides for itself what it will look like and when it is complete."

UK-based sculptor Barbara Franc creates these beautiful bird sculptures out of recycle metal scraps.
"I love making these little birds out of recycled metals. They are all fairly close to lifesize (usually just a bit bigger) and are made to hang on a wall."

Hammered Metal Lion by Selçuk Yılmaz
Istanbul-based Turkish sculptor Selçuk Yılmaz has created a majestic lion sculpture from almost 4,000 pieces of scrap metal, titled Aslan (Turkish for Lion).
The 6-foot-tall, 10-foot-long sculpture took 10 months to complete and weighs roughly 550 pounds (250kg).
The artist hand-cut and hammered every piece of the metallic component by himself.
