Most people would have probably used the crayons as drawing tools, but Nashville-based artist, Herb Williams makes sculptures out of crayons :)
He cuts every crayon to size, using a double guillotine cigar cutter, before sticking them to a shaped mould with industrial glue.

Incredible Quilling
Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs.
The paper is wound around a quill to create a basic coil shape. The paper is glued at the tip and the coil shaped, these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns similar to ironwork.

Su Blackwell graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2003. Using a scalpel she cuts and glues the pages of books to create these amazing artworks.
She finds her books by trawling through second-hand book shops. She always reads the book first and this in turn inspires the work.
