Sculptures Covered in Mirror Shards

Artist: Konoike Tomoko

Japanese artist Konoike Tomoko created a beautiful sculpture of a six-legged wolf that covered in pieces of mirror titled 'The Planet is Covered by Silvery Sleep'.

He also made a giant baby's head covered in broken pieces of mirror that revolves inside a darkened room reminiscent of a womb, titled 'Earth Baby'.

Artist: Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen

Stockholm artist Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen created a series of four reflective mannequins clad in shards of mirrors.

Artist: Soo Sunny Park

This shimmering installation titled 'Unwoven Light' created by Soo Sunny Park, comprised of some 37 sections of chain-link fence embedded with translucent sections of Plexiglas.

"There are no colored plexi used in the work. It is an optical illusion, depending on the intensity of light hitting the plexi and the viewer's viewing angle, each plexi piece bounces color differently."

“We don’t notice light when looking so much as we notice the things light allows us to see. Unwoven Light captures light and causes it to reveal itself, through colorful reflections and refractions on the installation’s surfaces and on the gallery floor and walls.”

She also made another piece titled 'Capturing Resonance', that hangs from the third floor ceiling of deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Massachusetts.
